The moral of the story is that placing your fate in the hand's of a jury is always a risky business, no matter the client or case, and no self-respecting attorneys should ever tell you otherwise. If they do, call me. I've got a bridge to sell them.
That said, here is a short chronology, in no particular order, of some cases with satisfied clients over the last twenty years, all amounts in actual case value:
A $225,000 settlement for a woman who alleged that she was fired from her job due to sexual and religious discrimination;
An $800,000 settlement for a man who alleged that his face was burned by defective electrical components ( assistant counsel on this case);
A $250,000 settlement for a woman who alleged that a bartender served her poisonous levels of alcohol, causing her to fall asleep at the wheel, strike a storefront and injure her face;
